LET THE 2008 FESTIVITIES BEGIN!!!! This month is our usual kick off for the season of sun fun and adventure. But for us...again...there is a hitch. We are going to be grandparents any moment!!! There have been some issues with the baby...she....yes...she is (go figure this) taking her time coming around. So at first we thought she was going to be early....now we just want her to show up. I am not sure when they are the most trouble...when first born.....or later. Well I digress. ACTIVITIES SEASON IS AMONGST US!! We thought we might combine the April "Damn I Wish It Were Summer Swing Party and the annual Memorial Day Swing party to one. So two schools of thought and we have to act fast. Plan A Group of people all take rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Seabrook NH Average room, 2 queen beds with wireless net, HBO TV phone system, microwave, coffee maker, medium/small refrigerator, iron board and hair dryer is 143.99 for two, $10.00 per person over. This location has a great indoor pool and Jacuzzi and exercises room. We are also located close to many restaurants, a skip to hampton beach area, a skip and hop north to kittery Maine, and skip and hop south to Salisbury's beach...and club sinz. Day time fun besides the obvious also includes trips to rockport and salem Ma. Trip to Boston. Trip to kittery Me. It all depends on weather and interest. In the evening we all try to meet for a huge dinner reservation. And then let the nights festivities begin. The fun with this is with so many rooms room hopping is the game. And the really cool thing is you can have your own mini party in your room. Nice huh? We have done this once per year at another location for 4 years. We missed last year with family problems. PLAN B is to do the same weekend....down scaled....in loudon NH at the red roof INN our usual location. They to have an indoor pool, Day trips are further away but doable up to including trip to winipasaki, concord and the annual trip to therns, laconia, even the coast is about 30 minutes away. Sinz in exeter is an option as well. Organized dinner at Makris lobster and steak house. PLAN C Our usual hosted day to evening Swing BBQ. on sunday, memorial day weekend. This is in house, smaller activity scale but much easier on the wallet. We will organize what our friends wish to enjoy. Please let us know here which is preferred. As all do require some money, some more then others to attend do not say you are coming or prefer an event if you are not going to attend. Cause what ever is chosen deposits will have to be made. We also have our annual BLUES FESTIVAL---BARNFUL OF BLUES----all day 7 plus bands all regional and headliner bands on august 2nd at the Hillsboro's youth center, hillsborough county fair grounds. in New Boston NH. This is a non swing event. Family day of music and coolers. This is a big event!! Tickets are sold early ask for us and we can get you hooked up with tickets!! Hi guys. I am so sorry that you are still waiting for that child to come. I am sure it will be exciting when she does finally come though. I find each of your events very exciting so I am willing to do all of them (at anytime, lol.), I am sure that no matter what it is it will be fun and you can count us in. I also think going to a blues day would be a great thing for us all together just to have some good (clean) fun. After we can make it dirty, lol. Keep us all up to date and hope you get your granddaughter soon. Helena and Rob
