Still Around......

What's up everyone???

Yes, I have been very bad in not blogging a lot anymore.
I think the fire at AQ just took it all out of me.
I know it is reopening soon, but we all know it will never be the same.
Since there has been so much publicity, I believe when it reopens it will be all the 'looky loos' who will be there, hoping to catch a glimpse of a boob or get some cheap sex. I think it will not be the fun players of before, the couples we know or the party people. Just the people who come to gawk.
I think I will wait for a bit for things to die down before I go again, if ever.
House parties are the way to go right now.
We have had a few, but having room mates, they are not the parties of the past.
There have been meets, but I have heard so many negative things, I am glad I did not go. Not the fun dancing times of before, and not at the same places, but new places with new people who don't seem to know how to act in public (from what I have heard) and not the kind of times I would like to have.
So I am continuing my quiet country life with my kittens and and all the horses. Quiet nights with friends and movies, laying on the couch.
I wonder if I will ever get back out there and party like I did?
Or if this is the new life for me, forever?
Stay tuned..........

I don't know what or where AQ is, but if you loved the place, keep an open, positive mind..things may very well return to normal when it reopens, and you can go back to having fun as usual.

rarely is anything "forever". The wheel turns.

I agree with Jewel about AQ. For those of us who used to party there, we know what we speak of!
I think about the "hoopla" of it reopening, it will calm down. But the one thing that does bother me is that now "everyone" knows where it is, it is not "discreet" like it was before.
And, for us regulars that would go there, now when we decide to go, I am sure it will be full, and us regulars won't be able to get in and give them the business like we used to.

So...here is for quiet nights at home, watching movies and eating popcorn!!

Jewel, I think you are right, that the first several weeks, perhaps months, will not be the same, But, after the authorities have found someone to blame for the disturbance, will get back to what feels like normal pretty quickly.

Hey, do what makes you happy. If you're enjoying the quiet life more than partying right now, there's nothing wrong with that.

And I personally have 486 unread posts to read in your journal alone, so I'm glad there aren't more. (No internet at home for a little over a year - argh! Good to be back though.)

Do not seek an external refuge, but be a light unto yourself.

Well read some of the blog, yes arson and los of life is sad, life changes as goals and fantasies are fulfilled then attention turns to new interests or slight twists of old ideas. I have been on the planet for 40 years this april and learned as much as I could. I found that alot of things overlap and sometimes it makes for interesting new ideas. You sound somewhat passive and giving up of once were your "passions". Perhaps look at your health first as I am sure you are, see what changes you can make or adaptations you can do to relieve the pressure on your health, then see how your outlook changes. On a side note too bad you are a little ways away, I would be interested in getting some horse maneure for my pepper plants, another passion I just reciently started, Hot peppers for the macho friends that I have. Nothing quite like watching a full grown man cry like a baby and say "yep your pepper was tougher than me" and drink milk like it is going out of style. You are outspoken, seems a shame you seem to be reclusing. just my 2 cents.
