X I acquired a new nickname last night from the brood - Bitchy Bird. Have you been to a school sporting event where they charge say $1-$3 to get in the door? You pay your few bucks and they pull out the MONSTER INDUSTRIAL PERMANENT marker. They proceed to put the MONSTER INDUSTRIAL (may as well be PERMANENT) X on your hand. Why do I have to accept the X? I always ask? May I just have a . (dot) please? NOOOOOOOOOOOO - they insist on the X. Then while I sit in the bleachers and proceed to be a good little clapper for my student athlete, I cross my hands and get ANOTHER X on the other hand or perhaps upper arm. You come home and attempt to wash it off but it doesn't come off. That is until you go to sleep and wake up with the dern thing on your forehead. Ugh - I complained loudy and profusely about it all night. I am now branded X - and called Bitchy Bird. |

Probono - I so believe in that. In fact - I try to think in terms that you have 10 things in your lifetime that you can allow yourself to be rattled by. The spouts I flutter off in this forum are worthy of 1 of 10. If I am running my mouth about it, it matters to me.

Sewn, Hey there. I agree with you about the big X being obnoxious, oh and it has to go on the back of your right hand. Why? I would rather pay an extra 50 cents and get paper wrist strap that costs 5-10 cents than a big black X. All that the big black X leads to is me going to the bar to get a shot of vodka to be used to clean off the branding. Take care. R

Michelle, Someone told me once that vodka will remove the perm marker from skin. I have not tried it but it might be an option. Take care.

I have an X story as well... i'm still somewhat bitter about it. I was at spring break down in Panama City beach Fl, there was a 3 pt shooting contest for this place, the winner was to get a private jet ski ride with a playboy playmate. I won!! they marked my had with an X to show that i'd won. Just as i was making my way to get my ride, a wicked storm blew in... couldn't find the playmate. I was soo pissed!!! everytime i see pics from that trip, that X on my hand taunts me... Damn you!!! GRRRR, think Hef would feel my pain if i sent him my sob story???
