Observations.

Observations. So.. time for a few observations i guess. i mean if i'm going to blog, i should do it on a reasonably common basis, right?  First of all, it has come to my attention that the site's activity monitor apparently lies. several female members who i have contacted on IMC have said that they have not checked out my profile before i contacted them, when i initially made contact due to the site telling me they had. this is somewhat irritating, as it has left me a little disappointed on more than one occasion. on a related note, ladies, this is a heartfelt plea, if you are not interested, please don't just ignore us poor guys who try to contact you, I know it might be a small amount of hassle, but please, just respond with something along the lines of 'sorry, but i'm not interested' or 'sorry, i'm looking for something else'. on a lighter note, today, while at work, i was chatting to a customer during a sale, some gorgeous 20-something woman with a beautiful accent and long auburn hair... we were both flirting shamelessly, (to the point where one of the new till ops was blushing... poor ,) which was fun... things were definitely becomming interesting.. and she had bought over £200 worth of clothes by the end, (you have to consider that i work in a primark store here.) As i finished ringing everything through the till, and got to the point where she was paying, she said i was one of the nicest people she'd met in her visit, and it was a shame she was going back to new zealand tomorrow..... outwardly, i smiled and said that 'at least we'd had an interesting talk while she shopped' ... inwardly i vehemently agreed. such is life, things can be interesting, good or terrible and it can all happen in the course of a 20 minute chat with a stranger. Thought for the day. I know how centrifugal force works and the earth spins at approximately 1000 miles per hour, right? so why DO we stick to the planet? ... .. . Gravity... it's a good thing. |

No worries regarding the rant, i do the same... you may have noticed  people seem to forget on these sites that having a little bit of respect for others is a sign of civility.

I supose this is another rant, and a long one too... didn't want to make a new post for it though, so adding it on here. bigdave9807: up for chat &/or meets? It seems odd that some people, not just the lady in question, seem to think that acting this way is acceptable. Respect costs nothing, and means everything. I attempt to be polite and courteous, however the character limit on initial messages on the IMC is somewhat restrictive, so the only option on the IMC is to make my intent clear in a short message at first, then begin the conversation properly once the chat is accepted. They always say that nice guys finish last. I'm starting to lament the fact that it seems invariably true... and not in the good way... though that is true too. (really.. it is...) I have tried asking the woman in question what it is that caused her change of heart, from accepting my chat request, to closing the window without a word... I have yet to recieve a response. No matter though. While she is an attractive woman, her apparent attitude is disgusting to say the least. Here's hoping there are some people around here that are somewhat more civilised. -Dave
