Bad Luck!

The city is rebuilding my street. The pavement was removed during the hottest and dryest week of the year. Just my luck, my AC broke down. At least it cooled down enough at night so I could open my windows to cool off. However, opening the windows also brought in the dust from the traffic.
A week goes by... I couldn't wait for the repair guy any longer, so I checked it out myself. I pull off the cover to see the capacitor had exploded. It can't be this easy! It took a couple more days to find a capacitor. I finally installed it, and once again my house is cool!
And of course, within a coupe days, the weather cools off.... the street is repaved.... and now I don't need my AC.
This isn't "the story of my life" but it is kind of funny how things turn out sometimes.

 wow..i bet it's nice...you don't need AC...i'm in Florida, and yah..we are hot...and almost every day, we have thunder storms...in 2004, we had 4 hurricanes and one time, we lost our power for almost week...that was just not good...very irritated...

 It's actually cool up here right now, maybe 15 degrees cooler and the humidity is lower then normal. It is usually hot and humid up here at this time of the year. Not that I'm complaining, I like it cool and dry.
