American River Rafting

For all you party animals out there that are down to get wet and wild we are doing a big rafting trip July 17th (yes Sunday). I've tested the waters and it might be a bit cold and a little fast, but as long as we wear some protection there is nothing that should stop us from getting wet that weekend.
Details are as follows:
Meet and greet at American River Raft rental (or up the way at Red Bridge) at 10:00am sharp. Departure time is scheduled for 11-12pm (depends on the crew and blow up time). It cost $5 for parking and you need a car at both ends.
You can get off the water at Ancil Hoffman, Cordova Park, River Bend Park, Watt Ave Park or William Pond or whatever. Raft rentals are pretty cheap and recommended but you can bring your own.
Since its not a holiday there are no alcohol restrictions so BYOB but please be safe and practice a little responsibility!!!
Last year was crazy with well over 300 people and this year we have a ton more confirmed on FB. So it should be pretty wild!

This weekend we'll have some great football games on and while its nice to kick it with the guys, throw back a few cold ones and watch the games it would be even nicer to have a hot lil lady right there with me having a good time. Any ladies out there that would be interested hit me up.

So a bunch of people are planning a huge rafting trip from Upper Sunrise to Goethe park this Sunday. So far there are over 2k confirmed (who knows how many will show) but it looks like its going to be a killer weekend. We'll be kicking it off some time around 11. If anyone wants details let me know!

Yeah thats right, I'm taking over Vegas for my birthday. I'm dragging along part of the crew and we will be partying up!. We hit town sometime on the 21st and plan on staying till the 24th. If anyone from down that way wants to meet-up and share in on the fun times let me know.

Rafting on the American River

If you are a water lover like me and you haven't had the chance to go you should definitely give it a try. We don't get all crazy and go white water rafting, mainly because that involves lots of work and no partying. Instead we take the enjoyable route and float down from Sunrise to Goethe Park.
The water moves pretty good so there isn't a lot of paddling you can sit back drink a few beverages and just chill. There are a few hot spots you can stop and hit with lots of people hanging out. There are always tons of hot bodies out there to checkout (of either sex).
Its not as crazy as it has been in years past and during holiday weekends like this weekend you can't have (obvious) alcohol. Meaning you can't have anything that is labeled as being booze, but juices, gatorade (w/vodka of course) and other stuff are ok. Obviously if you are being stupid drunk they will check you out and you will get arrested but otherwise they are pretty cool.
American River Raft rentals runs a shuttle bus so parking there is always the way to go. That way you don't have to drive back up to get the car, or you don't have to do the drop off thing at the other end. It also gives you plenty of time to sober up cutting down on the worries about drinking and driving.
Last year we hit the water just about every weekend and so far this year we've gone 5 or 6 times. Basically any weekend (or week day) that is has been warm enough to go.

Worst luck with personal ads

I have very little faith in personal ads, never post them, never respond to them ect. However for something to do I do like to read them from time to time.
So the other day I was on craigslist, shopping for a few items and reading the free section, when I decided to check out some of the W4M ads. Of the 20 or so ads I saw there where one or two that looked appealing, a few more actually but they wreaked of spam.
Against my better judgment I decided I'd respond to them. Now I am smart enough to use my "spam only" email address just in case (if you don't have one you should). Well of course the two ads I responded to were spammers.
Now this really doesn't surprise me at all, it just seems as though every time I respond to an ads or even try to contact members here all I get are spammers. Either I have bad judgment or just plain old bad luck.

With only a few more days left till St Patty's day I'm finally get into that party mood. I was out last night and partied a little too much and I feel it today so I can only imagine how bad I'll feel after a day of green beer, Irish car bombs and lots of drinking.
Update, well last night was the big event. Damn we partied our asses off! I think between myself and the 2 other people I was sharing pitchers with we killed 8 pitchers of Guinness. Drank several Irish car bombs and several other shots.
I have no clue what the total tab ended up being, I'm fairly certain I left my tab open and my card at the bar so we'll find out in a day or two when I make it down there.
I ended up at home some time around 12, I think LOL. Got up about 10am today with a buzz  yeah needless to say I'm dragging ass right now!

I'll be home enjoying the newest episode of lost, and maybe a glass or two of wine. But I'm sure many of my friends out there will be celebrating with either a loved one, a date or at a singles mixer. The hug hello

Yes this is straight off Seinfeld, but what is up with the random forced hug hellos. I mean come on, I'm on a hug hello basis with 90% of my female friends and thats no big deal. But there are those people that its a forced issue.
For instance I've got a friend I've know for several years. She is an admitted bad huger, and we've always been on a standard hello basis. Recently she began trying to implement a hug hello situation.
She doesn't give the standard friendship hug its more of a forced half assed type thing. So I don't see the point. I have no need for physical contact just to say hi. We are friends damn it, a hello should suffice.
Random people you hardly know is another thing. I mean WTF why are you trying to hug me. I don't know you that well. There should be o reason for you to invade my personal space just to say hello! A hand shake or a "hi how ya doin" is sufficient.
Now of course if you're a hot chick thats a different story. I am a guy and of course I won't complain. So hug away, but for the average everyday person please back the hell up and give me a normal hello.

I know this isn't a norm for Discreet Gay Dating but I've got to get this off my chest.
It seems as though the people I've been stuck dealing with on CL are complete morons! I mean I've dealt with some idiots in my day but these guys take it.
To start I posted a couple free computer parts. Had plenty of responses, 2-3 people said they wanted them. Cool come get them, they never show. WTF why waste my time. 1 guy asked me to deliver?
Then I post an ad for ticketless travel funds refunded from Southwest. The post clearly points out how to use them, what they are and has links to all the relevant info.
My first response is do I have a return ticket?? Uh hello travel funds here no tickets you have to buy those for wherever you want to go!
Second, third, fourth responses are low ball offers. Again I specifically posted Please don't waste my time or yours with low ball offers!
I finally get a few decent offers two of which I have good interest.
Offer 1 says he'll get back to me just needs to transfer some money to pay-pal...never hear from him again.
Offer 2 emails me twice, never hear from her again??
So back to the drawing board, I re-list the deal and make sure to add in bold my terms. I've had 3 idiots asking where the tickets are to, 4 idiots offering 50% of the value ($30 less than I'm asking) and 4 more morons asking me to meet them 20-30miles from my house when I specifically said which areas I'd be willing to meet in.
