Stupid banquet... too much work. At least we have a finalized menu. Costing will be done this weekend, and the budget by Monday.
I have two commission sewing projects to finish by this weekend too, so I'll be busy tomorrow knocking those out. At least one of them is fun, and with any luck I'll be able to put some pictures up that are nicer than just on the dressform.
Bah! And I just found out today that one of the classes I need to finally finish school won't be available to me until the fall, so I won't be finishing up this summer like I had hoped. Oh well. That just means one more round of classes than I wanted.

I need a break. It's been a long week, late nights all weekend, and I'm still trying to play catchup with this banquet. Nobody wants to do their parts just yet... "We have plenty of time, stop worrying." If I hear it one more time I'll shoot someone. If I want your recipes by MONDAY that means MONDAY!
I've also got to finish my winter coat now. It snowed a bit this week. Enough on Friday to let me have fun spinning my truck around in an empty parking lot. I finally got the material dyed to the right color so I can put it all together. This better come out as well as I've got it in my head, otherwise I'll be really pissed.
I need a nap (and not just because it's 1AM). Anyne want to cuddle with me? I'll make it fun when I get up...

So as if my life wasn't hectic enough, I've taken on being the sous chef for the vegetarian banquet in January. We're actually going to do a fully vegan menu, instead of just the lacto-ovo vegetarian menu we were requested to prepare. It's going to be a blast. I have about 100 pages of paperwork ahead of me, including recipes, nutritional analysis, costing, and scheduling...
When am I ever going to have time for sex now? Oh wait... nevermind.

I had to fix my truck... again. 
Nothing major, but it's just one more thing that makes me go "well it'll survive a few more months."
I really should replace it. The cost of repairs hasn't quite hit the cost of new car payments, but It'd probably be easier. Especially if I have any problems over the winter, it'll be too cold to work on it so I'll have to take it to a shop (I have no garage to work in at my apartment). That'll get costly very quickly.
I've been pricing replacement vehicles. I want a Hybrid Escape, but failing in that a regular one will do, but I've decided that no matter what I get next it has to have all wheel drive and a manual transmission. I like the ease of driving my truck right now but I miss shifting. And all wheel or four wheel drive comes from driving a two wheel drive pickup for the last few years and really wanting something that holds the road better. Especially in a New England winter.

Happy turkey day.
But for an amusing story from my childhood.....
When I was in high school my family moved out to rural Nebraska. Since we didn't have any family out there we had Thanksgiving dinner with one of the families from church (My dad was the pastor, and that's why we moved.) When it came time to eat, I was ready for turkey but was pleasantly surprised to find prime rib served for dinner. My dad asked them why there was no turkey to which the old rancher said "What good has that damn bird ever done me? I'm thankful for my cattle!"
So eat whatever it is you want, and historically speaking, they most likely actually ate venison not turkey anyway, but we'll save that for next year!

Well now I have a week off.
No work, no school, no choice.
I'm not 100% sure what to do with myself for the week. I won't be heading out to see my family for turkey day, so even those two days I usually can fill need something.
Any suggestions?

Tonight is the last time I have to go into Providence. The last night of this wretched night class and dealing with the whackjobs that are in it. Thankfully the final is the oral presentation and once we're through that (guaranteed to be first since one of our members is notorious for being late) I can sit back, relax and enjoy everyone else suffer then go home.
Then it's beer, beer, and more beer. Our last homebrew batch didn't come out quite as we had hoped, but the ABV is high enough that after two or three you don't even care anymore!
Yay.

So have you ever had to work with a crazy, backstabbing, crazy person? (Yes, I am aware I used crazy twice.)
Our team is being broken down by this woman who tells people we never do any work then when we ask for her deliverables she has nothing... and WE DO! If I confront her she just backpedals and makes me angry. I can't wait for this project to be over.
On a lighter note, I'm going to rip my apartment apart again today, since I still haven't completely given up on finding my calculator, and for some reason it's really eating away at me today. At least I got out early so I have time.
I still have two more projects and two commissions to finish by Friday as well. At least I relax while I'm doing that.

So one last update on the missing tech...
The calculator didn't run off with the mouse, as the mouse showed back up today (it was in my messenger bag for some reason). Anyway, I'm still lost, but I have come to a new realization tonight...
There is not nearly enough kink in my life.
Let's hope that changes soon. Of course I just like to play along, I'm not usually one to introduce the kinkiness because I'm afraid to scare her off,but I might have to if I meet someone new soon.
