Wow.
Well that last post was a bit of a shock, I actually got people who read and responded. Thank you all. I feel a bit better now than I did when I wrote it.
I'm not planning on touching onto subjects that set off a spark all that often, but hey if it gets a conversation going, maybe I should!

What's so difficult?

So I've had my Discreet Gay Dating account for a while. I use it in an on again off again sort of way. There was a time when I practically lived in teh chat rooms here.
And yet, in all this time I've never figured out one thing. How hard is it to write back to someone? I mean, if Person A takes the time to write to you, why is it so difficult to write back, even if just to say you're not interested in talking to them.
I mean, it's not jsut Discreet Gay Dating, it's everywhere. But notably on Discreet Gay Dating I find the least responses to anyone from anyone. Is it just me, or are people just getting more rude as time passes?

So I said I might do it, and as you can see, I've gone ahead and picked up the silver membership option. Now I can have some fun, and more imporatnatly, contact people near me.
But I have a long weekend in front of me, some of which I hope to spend chatting with new friends.

Yeah, so I've definately decided that once the next paycheck hits the bank that I'll be upping for the premium membership. There's just enough people that I would like to at least try engaging in some conversation with, but I never see in a chat room.

So I'm spending my first day in the kitchen after two weeks of working the front of the house.
Now, I'm not from New England, I grew up in New York and ended up out in Nebraska and Wyoming at one point. Just to set this up.
So anyway...
One of the other chefs is this absolutely gorgeous woman. And I start to talk to her and literally my first thought was "How does such a beautiful woman end up with such an ugly accent?"
It just knocked me over, a really heavy Mass / NE accent.

I've finally finished moving in today. I say that because I've put the last of the boxes away, cleaned up the apartment, and got my computer on a desk. Now I don't have to sit on the bed working off of one of the boxes on the floor!
Finished off the first week of classes, things are going well. Still haven't found a job yet, which is going to be a growing problem if I don't have something by the end of next week.
Got back into the chat room tonight, I think there will be a little more of that now too, since I have a comfortable place to sit and chat from.
Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you fellow Rhode Islanders in the near future.

Final moving day

Weather permitting, tomorrow should be the last moving day. I can get the rest of my stuff out of storage and into the apartment. Finally. My bed. I can have my bed back. Then I can start working on not having a bland apartment that I never bring anyone back to because it would undo any impression I can make outside of my home.
I do need to bring somebody home soon though. Can't live in a new apartment for too long without some company for a night, it's just not right.

I was reading some other blogs before I posted this. Wow some people have amazing lives, then again when compared to me anything is amazing.

I've finished my move to RI, well almost. The actual apartment isn't ready yet, but by the first of the month it will be.

So I'm on vacation right now, lying in bed after a long day of efectively doing nothing. Actually very relaxing.
I'm going to be here in RI until the end of the weekend, so I'm thinking about the chance to meet somebody new while I'm here. It's been a while, in fact way too long, since I've met anybody new, so I figure vacation is a good time to start up again.
If you happen to be in RI and want to meet, let me know!

Otherwise, let me set up what my blog will be like once I get home. I'm going to just jot down my thoughts, fantasies, and experiences in my life. There will be some recurring players, so it shouldn't be too hard to follow.
