Misconception And Weird View Counting System

A strange misconception about the meaning of a "View" is causing problems and triggering abusive behavior.
This very strange thing is happening with the way this website records and then reports the “Views” of other member’s profile pages. And to complicate matters, the meaning of a “View”, or rather the lack of meaning is apparently not clear to some members. This misunderstanding of the “View” is probably encouraged by the label of “My Admirers” for the “Viewed Me” page. That really is an incorrect label. Viewing another member’s page is not an indication of interest in that member. That is what the “Hotlist”, and the “Top Fan” system is for. If I view someone’s page, and then move on, then I have not shown interest in that member, since I moved on and did not put them on my “Hotlist”, for example. As a basic member, I can only view the profile pages of those members I have invested points into in order to be their “Top Fan”. Yet, everyday this website says that I have viewed many multiple pages that I have absolutely made no attempt to view. WHY?
This morning, I looked at my page called, “Profiles I Viewed”, and counted 10 members listed there that I supposedly viewed on this date. I only did the quick view on 2 of those. I did not even attempt to view any of those other 8 members, on this day. Why does this website lie? That is what it amounts to. It says I viewed members that I not only did not view, but did not even make an attempt to view. Not only that but most of them I could not view anyway, since I am only a basic member. This makes no sense, and it is causing problems.
There is a member, x_plantguy, who is laboring under the total misconception that viewing a person’s profile means they are showing an interest. As I stated above, viewing does not indicate an interest, but x_plantguy does not seem to understand that. I tried to reply to his rude messages, to explain to him that I am not viewing his profile, (as a basic member, I can’t anyway), but any reply attempt I have made was not allowed. I have absolutely no interest in this guy. In fact, I find him repugnant! His attitude is quite ugly, and so vain, that he thinks he’s so sought after by anyone that happens to just glance at his profile, which I cannot do even if I wanted to, which I do not want to do. He complains about me viewing his page every day; impossible, Since I'm a basic member. But according to the site, he views me every day, also. Every Day this website tells me that he viewed me, along with a bunch of others that I doubt really viewed my profile. And I’m sure that he is not viewing me any more than I am him. This confabulated “View” system is not helpful, as illustrated by this unnecessary conflict that it has brought about. This site should only count views based on actual behavior. If I don’t specifically click on a member’s icon to go view them, then it is inappropriate for this website to count a view. Without that direct attempt, then any view count is a total fiction. And it is that sort of fiction that has caused this misunderstanding.
