Anyhow, I thought that we'd talk about cruising today. For the uninitiated, cruising is gay slang about looking for hookups. Thanks to the Internet, cruising sites have changed from certain parks and bathrooms to the Internet. ( Of course, there are still people who will go cruising in non-Internet areas. In fact, if you've ever done so, leave a comment about the place where you did 
Cruising on the Internet is full of pitfalls and traps, but can have a lot of payoff if successful. Cruising for bondage has even more of both.
As a general rule, getting tied up by strangers is seen as a 'no-no', and for good reason. "Safe and Sane" is a term used by the BDSM community (Oh my, so much vocab!)to apply rules to the scene to make sure that whoever one is playing with is (Basically):
-Not going to cause damage physically, or emotionally
-Has knowledge of limits and safety measures, and a concern for their partner's well being.
This causes some issues. In order to play safe and sane, large amounts of communication( ie, 'endless emails') is necessary to get set up, which in the fast paced, 'you have their attention or they're already looking elsewhere' cruising environment that is the Internet, it puts you at a disadvantage fir finding somebody. That is an issue with the hookups themselves, but when you find that 1 individual who's willing to do all of that emailing and communication, the scene will often work out admirably, and lead to repeat performances (Yay!)
However, the rules and endless emails are not uber important ( although useful) for cruising to give/ receive head. In fact, I think I've done it so minimally communicated that we had both exchanged stats and location/ time within 3 emails and it was a go. However, this is also a liability. With shorter communication, there is no investment in what you two will be doing. If you're not eagerly anticipating a response from somebody you've been arranging with for an hour, you don't care about one short series of emails. This translates into somebody losing interest for any number of reasons, and because they don't care, they flake out.
Anyways, this has been my general thoughts on how much effort and time should be put into cruising for either bj's or bondage. Bj's barely need any time to arrange ( Circumstances permitting) but don't be surprised if somebody who just sees you as a avatar on the Internet never bothers to show up suck you/ get sucked. They probably don't care. And for Bondage, if they don't care enough to exchange emails continuously, you shouldn't play with tem any way, as they aren't necessarily 'safe and sane'.
