...few weeks.
I know on Discreet Gay Dating we all think about sex and who we can meet for sex but there is something more important in the lifestyle and that is friendship. I have really discovered over the last few weeks the depth of the many friendships I have because of the lifestyle. I want to share a little and give a big thanks to ALL my friends I have made here on Discreet Gay Dating and everywhere else because of being in the lifestyle. Friendship is based on trust, honesty and mutual respect. Friends are someone you can just get together with no strings attached. You can talk to your friends about anything and know that they will help you when you are in trouble. Without the trust, honesty and mutual respect you can not have a true friendship with anyone. I am grateful for the friends that I have and friends that I will meet because of this lifestyle I choose to be in.
Most recently I was in Billings in the middle of the week alone without hubby and and had a few experiences which really made me smile and appreciate the friends I have made.
I took care of what I went to Billings for and then went to a friends to change clothes and drop off a few things. We ended up taking off and spending a wonderful afternoon shopping and hanging out (which since I actually live in Wyoming is something I rarely have the opportunity to do). Along the way we dropped off some expensive car tester thingy that one of the guys from the club had lent my hubby last weekend to check something on the car and then we picked another girlfriend and went and had an awesome lunch/dinner together--this was a great way to spend the day.
After hanging out I had one more stop to do and ran into Costco to pick up a few items. When I came back out my car was dead--battery crooked. So I called my girlfriend I had spent the day with and as it happened to turn out her and her hubby had just suffered a break down as well. As I sat there in the heat of the evening wondering what the *uck I was going to do and getting ready to start going through my extremely long list of numbers in my phone and see who I knew may be around to come help me my hubby called and immediately came up with a name. I called his wife and she gave me his number to call him. I knew he had been home sick from work but thought it was somewhere to start. He immediately came to my rescue--jumped my car and tightened the loose connection so the battery would keep getting a charge. Mind you this was not a *uck buddy but someone I was friends with that I had never had sex with (not that we won't just haven't yet).
Once I got going my other girlfriend called to say they were going to try to start their car again and seeing if I found anyone to help me yet. I was up and running but they were not yet so I then went down to pick them up and take them home but actually ended up following him home as the car decided to start when I pulled up.
This was just one day of seeing the fun friends can be.
The last few weeks I have shared several other great times with my friends including a wonderful weekend at my home with about 15 of my friends. They all were friend enough to put up with me when I had only had an hour of sleep and got a little snappy and out of sorts but they have all been there and understood and none of them held it against me--why because we are friends.
The moral of these stories is that friends are worth more then gold and you need to cherish them. So many people think they have friends but they don't. Many times it is because they do not even know what a friend really is so they think they have them but they don't or they think just because someone says hello or talks to them they are your friend but although you may want them to be your friend or you consider them a friend they really are not your friend. Sometimes they may call someone a friend because they were friends but something was done to ruin the trust, honesty and mutual respect that they had so one friend moved on but the other does not see the change and realize that the person is no longer their friend because of the violation of trust, honesty or respect. I have several people who will tell people they are a friend of mine and it is news to me because I didn't realize they were my friend and some of them I am not even sure who they are.
I am totally blessed by the friends I have because of the trust, honesty and mutual respect that we share and I hope some of you are blessed with the kinds of real friendships that I have.

OMG! The Billings Social Club Pirate Party was fantastic. We ended up with 63 people showing up and would have to say that all the way around it was a complete success and even better than anyone would have expected. We had people from all over Montana and Wyoming (even as far away as Cheyenne) show up and everyone had an awesome time. Those that missed this one missed one hell of a lot of fun.
So looking forward to the Billings Social Club 80's party.

Hey you all I have been nominated to represent Montana in the Miss Blogsville USA contest here on Discreet Gay Dating. Not really sure how, what or why but I was nominated by the person in charge of the contest and she said she selected me because I caught her eye. I of course graciously accepted.
