So a lot happened since I was last on this site, both to the site and . In the last 3 years I managed to date an old friend only to find we didn't work (twice!). Interestingly enough we had an on/off relationship and seemed to be friends with benefits. At the same time, we seemed to have been resolving the issues that caused friction in our relationship...with one catch. Literally 2 weeks after throwing herself at me (yes she was drunk but nothing happened) and a week after talking about being FWB, she apparently finds a guy on who is years older than her (and looks like her father). Part of hopes the best for her and another part makes wonder if she did this because she is having issues. There is more to that story which maybe a blog for another day.
As for the site, a lot of the people I knew have gone though some have stayed. It seems free users are severely limited. It makes me wonder if the site is worth activating membership again just to find someone.

For those that knew me..I moved out of the US on business and it has been a VERY hectic 8 months. When I finally settled in and got network I found EVERY site labeled as adult was blocked. This not only killed Discreet Gay Dating but also my writing for abit. Unfortunately I was unable to get a work around while I was handling RL issues when friend told me how to get around it.
Now..I am slowly settling in...and see many I knew are gone or offline. For those that stayed, be on the lookout

Almost 3 weeks ago I packed up my house and yet again started moving. In some ways I am happy I get to travel due to my job but this last move gave me this odd feeling. What it is, I cannot describe. Tired? Lonely? The excitement of a move has lost it's zing.
For 17 yrs I have oved into a new home, attempted to settle in only to pack up after 2 and half yrs. It seems once I unpack my last box I move yet again. Thankfully I know that I will be moving at least 1 more time with the company as my current ongoing move is for a short time. After this one I think I will purposely leave one box from the movers sealed and tucked away in the corner of my new residence just to see if I can actually settle in one place.

It's been awhile since I've been online and posted. What can I say? Work is an evil mistress.
Yesterday I was shocked by my coworkers though. Normally for their birthdays, I get a card, and have our coworkers sign and present it to the person as a gesture that we remembered. Previously no one did anything. With mine coming up on a Saturday (that I don't work on finally!), I was expecting something on Friday. I expected a card, nothing more. I was surprised when I was presented with a cake at the end of the day. It was a good ending to the work week as it was a crazy one as always.
The only "holiday" I tend to celebrate is my birthday. This is because it's been the one day I have had off (with 1 exception) and that I typically work every holiday. A few of my friends know this.
So how does one celebrate this day? First off, I "slept in". While I forgot to unset the alarm, it was quickly shut off as was it's reminder. The rest of the day will be lunch and dinner with friends, as well as gong to an art and shop opening for a friend (I had promised I would). After dinner there is a club and concert that I am going to with friends. A FWB I have known for a while has said she'd make an appearance but if not, I shouldn't expect to be home alone. Knowing her, it makes me wonder what plans she has.
I've had a few interesting birthday surprises but those should be another post later. It leaves me with a curiousity of what some of your favorite things to do on your day are or how you were surprised.

New Year. New adventures. New experiences.
Well maybe that's half right
If you take the time to read this I wish you a happy and exciting New Year as well as many new experiences.
For me, the next few months will be the same. Busy as always. Towards the end of the year however, I'll be moving once again as my job has needed my experiences elsewhere. Sadly it won't be so new as it is a place I lived almost 6 years ago. Who knows, maybe it changed a lot. I do however look forward to some of the people I met there and hope they still live in the area.
Here's to future endeavours.

This will be a first. I will break the tradition of shaving my mustache o Oct 31/Nov 1 just for a costume party.
Why shave in November? There are 2 definitive times I clean shave on or by the first of the month. March and November.

It is however open to Men and Women (Mo Sistas as they call them can wear fake mustaches, Men cannot according to the rules). In October, I wear pink to support Breast cancer. In November, the lip fuzz comes off (at least until March  ).
If the party ends before midnight, I'll make the Nov 1 deadline. If not, then "Tony Stark/Iron Man" will need a one day reprieve. Supposedly my stache is a lot better than his and Tom Selleck's anyways If you'd like to help me out in donating, shoot me message and I'll send you the link.

While I was hoping to post more today a cold has kept me in bed and resting.
Weekend Funny was something I used to do a lot on Myspace and FB. People seemed to enjoy it a lot so I may as well continue the tradition. After all laughter is the best medicine and something we all need in life  Next weekend I should have more for your Weekend funny

What's in a name? Part II- Skykid name

So some may ask, why the name skykid?
Maybe it's nostalgia from my youth of a game by the same name. In the game, your pilot would come across a dancing girl.
When you performed a loop near the girls, they would blow you a kiss.
I can't say this was on my mind as when I was tidying up the living room and I do have my old 8 bit NES (I do enjoy the simple things in life )
Honestly while that game (which I haven't played any in a long time) brings back memories, it may have contributed to part of my adult life. So the REAL reason for Skykid.
Sky- Part of my job deals with aircraft and flying. I also enjoy flying (both as a passenger and hobby). I even teach basic flight/flying concepts at least once a month. My last name in real life also deals with the sky (a few know my real name). So I guess you can say flying plays a big part of my life.
- All my life I look younger than I am. It's a blessing and a curse. Even at 35 I tend to get mistaken for someone younger, even more so when I shave (I somehow lose 10 yrs when I do this).
25- Aside from losing 10 years when I shave, it's also a number that plays a big significance in my life. It's popped up quite a few times in my life and is also the date of my birth
So there is the breakdown of the name. I may change it but until then "Sky" has stuck and "" in a few exceptions.
So now I ask, what is the meaning of your name?
