Neck Update

Well, I've had a MRI done early this month and had a Dr. appt the next day.

The Dr. noticed there is a nerve that is "angry" and had told me that he would have to "consult his collegues" if another surgury is possible.

That kinda scared me, "check with his collegues".....oh oh! Doesn't sound good, my stomach is just a bundle of nerves now.
Alot of questions have been entering/RUSHING into my head after he said that.

The injury happened at work in '07, so obviously this is under Workers Comp. My surgury was in '10. That nerve has been under my skin (pun intended) since I had the injury. So I am patiently awating my "plateau of healing" before we can proceed with the case. Therefore, I'm surviving (not getting rich)on ssdi.

My head is up, hangin in there still! I don't let things discourage me (one hell of a positive attitude though, hey.?.)
Might I say though, EVERYTHING still works and functions well. Although I'll pay for it (nerve pain) after abit.

Anyways my friends, I'm still hanging in there!!!!

I appologize for my lack of blogging. I had ALOT of things I had to do to keep my life inorder...ssdi, Dr., home, family, & MOST of all.... MENTALLY (IF there is neck surgury again).

Anyways, I stopped going to the accupuntureist. The "flare-ups have subdued somewhat, BUT I still get them. Talk about pain! I've been dealing with this "pain" since my accident. It WAS on the job. My neck nerves is still like a plate of long spaggetti though. I still can't cook noddle-roni for example. If I do cook, my body stiffens/spasms and then I get the "neck-nerve headache". I eat way later because of it. The accident at work was so violent that I had broke my first fusion brace! Just before the surgery in 2010, I started to "taste" metal in my mouth, probably was that brace. So there's my "update" to my nerve problem.

So, I did the Dad thing over the weekend.......I co-signed for a car for my (DOH!!!). AND, laid down the rules though. My is thoughtful, caring, RESPONSIBLE person. I get complimented all the time. SO, THAT is why I co-signed. He has NO credit and NO credit cars to tempt him (smart , takes after his father). I have impecable credit and driving record. ALTHOUGH, he is not going to be on my drivers insurance. So, I did the "Dad" thing.

What can I say? The Pack beat themselves. Dropped passes, couldn't run the ball, #12 SACKED. The Defense, well, DID do their job. Stopped them from reaching the end zone 4 times! What more could you ask for from the "D". The "D" kept them in the game but the "O" was terrible at BEST! Got 'Da Bears and Lions at Lambeau! And SHOULD win, shore up Home Field Advantage through out the playoffs. Should the Niners win tonight, the Pack may have to win the next two games outright to host the playoff games. The next two games are critcal. Eh, gotta change it to 18-1, Nuff said. OOOOO, 18-1, THAT hurt to type!

T-Day and a self revelation of sorts

This past weekend, with T-Day and family in mind and on the phone, I did some research on one side of my family. It was just to get an idea on the longevity of life on that part of myself. The Sicilian side (all I had time for). So, I goggled, clicked, clicked and clicked.

I found a site and put in my great sicilian grandpa name, and WOW! I had NO idea. Talk about pre-arranged marriages. Not that there's nothing wrong with it, I understand why and the reason(s) for it.

So, I clicked a few more times, going WAY back.....1890's!

As it turns out, I come from free spirit and mind. Growing up, my grandma told me stories of her father, my grandmothers brother would come over and visit and elaborate (to a point, he had a pre-arranged marriage too).

My grandmother had been in other words a "renegade". She started out in this "new world" marrying outside the family. I heard things from my great uncle about her marriage to my grandpa from the "family" side. Believe you me, it was NOT fondly.

Thus, enter my ma in the picture. Again, married outside the family...to my father. As an inquiring little lad, I again asked my ma, grandma, and great uncle (each independently, respectfully) as to "what went down then". It was not fondly either.

Which brings me back to the digging I did on the internet and to what I had discovered.

All the stories I heard and explained.....some in detail, I found that I'm the third generation from a very powerful, wealthy, and prominate family. Some are well known, some behind bars (guess why), some are behind the scene (even to this day), and still have arranged marriages to this day! They take care of "their own".

In this past weekend and giving thanks, I am proud to be of a "renegade" side. The free world, FREE MIND! Maybe grandma was a trend setter of sorts.?. Even for her to stand for what she believed in....imagine back THEN.....WOW, hey? Sure there was the great aunts (grandma's sisters) pasta dinners we went to, the family picnics we went to, there still was THAT one thing that I couldn't put a finger on (where it came to our side of the family). The "blood line" was broke.

I must admit, I am proud of the fact that my grandma and ma was the free spirit that they were and are, which in turn made ME part of who I am.

I had a little time left to look up my Great Grandma on my other side (passed when I was 21, she was 94). Again, I was the third generation from THAT side also. I have to find out more.

There are two other sides I want to look up also.

Thus, the inquiry for longevity in my family, family tree, where they were from. It's kinda knowing yourself in a way. I think it's cool!

Tell me what ya think and if YOU did any research on your family background and what ya found.

HNW everyone! As you can see, I'm showing my colors today. I've only wore them for each game this year. A man ritual on GAME DAY!
Bear in mind, LAST YEAR, the Pack's trip to the promised land WAS won on the road. The elustrious #12 has said he prefers to playing in a dome because the elements are controlled.....I smell 11-0! Happy T-Day to all my Ladies!

Well, the pack WON, again! Even I must admit it wasn't a "pretty" win. A "W" is a "W" though. I kind of figured out why the pack wasn't as sharp. The Pack faces a potent Lions team on T-day, short week. It struck me in the second half as to why they're playing as they are. They actually was playing right to the script....."play through enough to get the ["W"]". Again, showing that the Pack is tooo great. Sure, Tampa "threatened". But at the same time, the Pack showed it could attack, get the yardage, and score at will.

Again, the Pack will not show their hand especially heading into a division rival game!

If anyone can remember, they played crappy against Carolina, manhandled "Da Bears". Played crappy against St. Louis, manhandled the Vikes. Played crappy against the Chargers, manhandled the Vikes AGAIN. Played crappy against Tampa...can you guess what's next.?.

The upcoming game against the Lions, the play book will be WIDE open, both on Offense and Defense.

Every so called "analyst" have been condemning the Offense and Defense (yardage given up), saying that they're not "as smooth a team even though the won the superbowl".

I've said this before: the Pack is not going to show their hand, period.

As I see it, currently, the Pack WILL win (sweep) the division. BUT, they're also playing for that "elustrious" NFC Home Field Advantage!

The 49er's ARE hot. At 9-1, they're gaining CONFIDENCE.... circa 2010 Pack. They stay in the game, hang in there tough, and they win. Isn't "pretty", but hey, it's a "W"! Although the NFC west IS "weak", the point is: the road to the superbowl would go through San Fran based on conference records.

THUS, the pack has to remain undefeated until San Fran loses atleast another game (breathing room loss).

Today, I'm going out on that limb again in saying the Pack will DEFINATLEY go 19-0! YUP, UNDEFEATED and win it ALL. History in the making on Sunday's!

The DOM-inator Capers (ex-Head Coach) and Coach McCarthy will ride out into the sunset in Green Bay. Along the way, paving the best Dynasty the Pack has ever seen since the GREAT Lombardi era!
Not only that, THEE best dynasty the NFL has ever seen. Sure, New England, Indy, Pitt, they had their's, no debate there.

Unlike the "Holmgren" era with one superbowl win and one loss, THIS team has what it takes to be multiple superbowl winners.

Pay attention to the details of the game and that will tell you exactly how great this team is. The Offense can score at will and the Defense can shut them down at will (as all well built superbowl teams are), it's just that simple.

Ya heard it here first though........19-0!
Eh, Nuff said, PACK RULES!
