It made me smile to see that these guys are still around. I was terrified of them as a , and I am glad I conquered that fear. They are fearsome as predators, yet particularly vunerable as prey. Kinda like us.

Red. The color of both love and hate. Red was my favorite color as a , but now I find that too much bright red in a color scheme leaves me feeling overwhelmed, aggitated if I spend too much time in the place. Muted reds do not have the same effect though. Colors do tend to have a profound yet understated effect on my moods. If I find myself feeling edgy for no reason there is either too much of a bright color, or too little color at all in my environment.
Red is not a color I see in large quantities here in the NW Missouri. A few ornamental trees turn red here in the fall as well as several vines and shrubs, but when you are out hiking in natural stands of trees Missouri is a golden state. Bright lemon yellows, true golds, brassy pale oranges melt together and make bright veins and little pools of molten gold to delight the eye.

The Eastern Tailed-blue (Cupido comyntas) also known as (Everes comyntas)

Hundreds of these guys are around right now. There were tons of them this Spring as well. They are roughly the size of a nickle when they fully expand their wings. In Spring they are a pain to photograph, they never seem to light on anything for more than a second or two. But now, they are savoring the last of the nectar to be found I suppose.
A lot like humans. When we are young? We are almost in constant motion, learning, observing, thinking, moving, doing, growing, becoming adults.
When we get older, we tend to sit back, seek still moments, and savor the memories of youth, just as this guy is savoring the last bit of nectar.

I seem to have no words right now. I mean there are plenty of things on my mind that I could write about, but for whatever reason they don't want to leave my head today. The ones that do are just rambling trivial nonsense, and who wants to read that?
So how about taking a walk with me? Let me show you what wonders I found on my walk Saturday. It is Autumn here and the world is doing its farewell performance. I hope you enjoy!

So, it is an early morning for me. I was feeling a tad worn, so I went to bed early last night and as it normally does, my body let me know that eight hours is plenty of sleep for one person. So I got up, made a pot of coffee and went tooling around Blogsville. After reading my regulars, I went off in search of some new bloggers to follow.
I realize this is a sex site. I get it. I also get that this site is the perfect platform for writing erotica. What I don't get is all the new blogs that are nothing more than "This is what I want, give it to me now."
There is really nothing wrong with putting it out there, but would it not make a bit of sense to at least introduce yourself? Give your reader a sense of who you are? About 80% of the new male blogs I have read this morning have left me with the mental image of a talking schlong. No real human there, just a throbbing male member with a laundry list of "I wants". While it is good to make your desires clear, guys, seriously? There are not that many people who are going to be jumping about, frantically waving their hands in the air while screaming, "Pick me!" after reading what you have written.
So I thought, as a public service to new male bloggers, I would offer up some tidbits of info I have gleaned over my time here.

It will help your cause if you give your readers a sense of who you are, outside of your sexual needs/wants. While there is no need to give your name, address, and Christmas wish list, most folks want to know a bit about who you are outside of your bedroom. Adding a bit about other interests gives a person some idea of what kind of person you are, and makes you look a lot less like a talking penis. If someone is interested in you as a person, it will be much easier for them become sexually attracted to you.
Bragging about past sexual exploits is great when you are talking with friends, but it is a huge turn off for most people who are searching for a lover. No one wants to think about fucking you and then reading the play by play of it somewhere down the line, nor do they want to feel like fucking you is a competitive sport. Save the bragging for another place.
Extreme kink will limit your playing field. While many people might share your kink, there are a good portion of them who are really not willing to make that public knowledge. Make a brief mention of the facts on your blog, but save the in depth conversation for email.
Bitterness about ex's is understandable, but if your blog posts are nothing more than vitriolic rants about how much you hate your ex, about how horrible they were, how much you hope they die in a fiery car wreck, then your reader is going to wonder greatly about what you will have to say about them if your relationship doesn't work out.
If you are writing erotica, try giving it a descriptive slant. For example:
"I tied her to the bed and played with her tits until she was begging to be fucked."
While descriptive to a degree, this;
"Gently, I bound her outstretched arms and legs to the bedposts, and slowly teased her helpless body until she was begging me to fuck her."
paints a much more erotic mental image.
I hope this doesn't come across as hateful, I certainly don't mean for it to be. I just think if you are going to write a blog for more than 'points', it is nice to have someone give you tips about writing a blog that has some 'meat' to it, (Other than your erection).

We took a short cut..which is a long story..and made it home last night! It is most awesome to be here with the family and the mutts and my flowers and the rain!
I have a slight cold or allergies, so I am really not up to writing much today. Plus I am still a little laggy from the travel, but I will be back to writing speed in a day or so, I think. Till then, I left some photos for your viewing pleasure!
