The Beginning
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter

Spring is finally on its way
I don’t need to say that it’s okay,
it simply means that winter’s death
is what we all will speak of next,
and the fact that summer’s nigh.

It’s only a short period of time
this sweltering, ovenly clime,
it soon will all disappear
seemingly like for another year,
and we’ll wish it goodbye with a sigh.


Oh, what would I not give
In exchange for this life I live,
Not that I would ever complain;
Hey, I have more sunny days than rain.
You won’t ever see me cry.

The other man’s grass isn’t always
green, some are brown, I know, I’ve seen.
So, I’ll add some soil, and even water,
Sometimes I’ll smile, maybe a lot of laughter
Until, finally, at the end I’ll die.
