His One Month Anniversary. A Poem

I had the thought
That today was their
One month anniversary.
You don't know
How much I was tempted
To make a snide comment
a to that effect.
Tell him don't forget the flowers
Or some such thing.

It was only hurting me.
To mark this occasion.
I doubt it it had that
Much significance
Even to them.

I don't want to admit
How much of a loser I am
But here I am writing
Needing to get
It off my chest.
