Get to know me... on IMC or the KYTN Chat Room

Hey noble readers. Sometimes, a simple comment is not enough for how we may want to make use of this site. Here's a quick breakdown for how to get to the Instant Message Center (IMC), or to one of the various free chat rooms (I'll show how to get to the KYTN Room as an example, the room I most frequent).

Again, these are free to use for ALL members AND they maintain your anonymity until you decide to reveal more. So here's how you get to these free pages, and maybe even me.

*********

Before you try this, you may want to open a second window to navigate with, leaving this page open to refer back to as you need. And now...

INSTANT MESSAGE CENTER:

IMC is the easiest to reach. All you need do is:

1) Place your cursor over the "Live Action" tab at the top of this page, then click on "Instant Messenger" from the appearing drop-down menu.

GETTING TO THE 'KYTN' CHAT ROOM:

Depending on the chat room you wish to reach, the process can be quite extravagant. But navigating to one of the basic "US State" rooms of your choice is pretty easy. Here's how you get to the KYTN Chat Room:

1) Place your cursor over the "Live Action" tab at the top of this page, but this time, click on "Adult chat rooms" from the appearing drop-down menu.

2) When the next page fully loads, you can scroll down to select the room for the area you desire, or click on the region of choice on the map to the right.

If you wanted to get to the KYTN (Kentucky & Tennessee) Room, you would simply click the pink highlighted region of the two states on the map to the right. Once in there, send me a shout should you see me. hahahahahahaah

*********

And that's how it's done. If you've never used these features you're definitely missing out. These key free features allow you to chat with real people, view & broadcast webcams, and generally get to know one another in a safe environment. Hope this helps... have fun and be safe!!!

Codes for everyday use.

Well this was just a brief idea I wanted to post on how to transmit number sequences in a basic code that everyone could use/decode. Why use a code if it is this easy to break you may ask? For the same reason you buy padlocks, to keep the honest folks out. Look, if someone is really determined to break your code, chances are that they will. This code is simply to prevent casual glances from providing anyone with your personal information.

It's the old phone pad code which EVERYONE knows. If you don't, grab a phone and look at the 'number pad'. For numbers 2-9 there are letters that correspond to each digit (1 & 0 do not have letters, more on this later).

Thus we have the following number/letter chart:

#2 - ABC
#3 - DEF
#4 - GHI
#5 - JKL
#6 - MNO
#7 - PQRS
#8 - TUV
#9 - WXYZ

This we will simplify down to the first of the three letters, so:

#2 - A
#3 - D
#4 - G
#5 - J
#6 - M
#7 - P
#8 - T
#9 - W

Don't worry, you won't have to memorize all of this since there's always a phone lying nearby to help decipher the code!

ABOUT 1 & 0: Simply use them where required amidst the capital lettering. Once done, you will have a mix of letters and numbers that appear quite useless to anyone but yourself, and your recipient. I use 1's and 0's in the following examples so you may see what I am saying.

A FEW EXAMPLES:

Let's say you had the six number sequence 906187 that needed to be encoded. By using the simplified second chart above to convert each number to a letter (remembering to insert the 1's and 0's), the number becomes the following:

906187 = W0M1TP

Another example would be for the nine digit hyphenated number:

77963-4812 = PPWMD-GT1A.

But what if your sequence included letters already (tracking number for instance)? I simply put the letters in lower case to designate that they in fact stand for themselves, and not as a substitution for numbers.

1Z23B24752XX1 = 1zADbAGPJAxx1

-------------------

Again, this "code" is older than the hills, but for prying eyes it can be just what the doctor ordered. Hope this helps!

The Olympics are over, no more 8 hour marathon viewing of 'curling' on CNBC (yay)... but no more hockey either. Sunday's gold medal game had the US coming up short in a 3-2 overtime loss to the wicked heavy favorites, the Canadians (not to be confused with Montreal's infamous Canadiens, hehehe).

A quick word about a men's team that went undefeated until the final round, who never trailed until the final round, who beat the unstoppable Canadians earlier in the tournament against all good reason... hold your heads high. Sure the last game was a loss... go figure: (four-on-four hockey) + (more room on the huge Olympic ice) + (Sidney Crosby) = (what the hell did you think I'd equal)

Just because you lose, that alone does not make you a loser. Everyone played their top game, everyone pushed harder when they hit their own personal brick wall, and most importantly, they never gave up (tied the game with 17 seconds left? nope, no giving up with those guys).

Team USA had 17 newcomers to the Olympic team out of the 23 allowed on roster, so the experience alone makes me think that the future of USA hockey is looking brighter than ever. Yay for the Olympics!!!!!!

Yep, the equation of my life. For example, this past weekend I had quite a few errands to run, so I packed up the car, grabbed a coffee, and off I went. I hit the mall, a few hobby shops, Best Buy, the Drug Emporium (which reminds me of the old-timey general stores) and more. By the time I was finished, noon had arrived. What to do?

I could have headed home, sat on the couch and watched TV all day but HOW BORING!!! Instead, I popped a CD in the player and went driving around the Tri-State area. I saw the green-spotted girrafe and pink elephant of Barboursville, found out that the 'scenic route' through Portsmouth leads to some back-alley shack beside Shawnee U., discovered that the Tim Horton's in Portsmouth is much better than the ones in Ashland... basically, I drove all over the place. It was nice, I had time to myself, space to breathe, time to think, almost 300 miles of time in reality.

I got home around midnight, refreshed and rejuiced, and ready for whatever life brings. You see, for me, driving is a way to relax, to kick back and not have to focus on the day-to-day details of being alive.

Admittedly, I could have gone to Lexington and back for all the time I drove, but I can do that anytime. Maybe next weekend... heheheheh.

Have a good one folks, and maybe I'll see you around, if you're driving.

Lexington VS Louisville... Kentucky that is.

Well, not really 'versus' but just some comments. I lived in Lexington for a little over 11 years, back when I was going to UK and getting my life going. Before that, I spent a few weeks in Louisville here and there. Both places have an active night-life (though Lex closes up at 2), a decent art scene, and plenty of activities to keep one occupied.

Either town is fun for me, though Lexington is about 50 miles closer to me. Even so, I enjoy the travelling as it gives me some much needed time to myself. My long-time friends in Lexington are a blast to hang out with, and there's McCarthy's of course (where a true pint of Guinness can be found). Common Grounds is OK but I prefer the new Dunkin Donuts if I'm just looking for a cup 'o joe.

Louisville has Electric Ladyland (yay), and for those of you uninitiated into the world of E.L. then you are missing something. Of course, there are tons of bars and clubs for live music, the St. Matthew's Mall and the Galleria (is it still there?) for those shopping minded folks.

I suppose either would do for a fun night on the town. hehehehehe. So tell me, which is your favorite.

Hello everyone. Over the past couple of months, I have noticed how people seem to get the wrong impression of me from my page. So here I am to set the record straight.

I joined this site to meet people who are open & adventurous, like myself. That is why I posted the pix that I've posted. I'm not here to collect photos (sure I'll send you mine in exchange, but it is so we know who we're talking to... potentially meeting).

Having been a performer most of my life has made me outgoing and willing to become friends with just about anyone. That being said, I'm not here to collect 5000 friends either. I would rather have a small group of good friends than a large glut of "friends" I neither talk to or know.

Most of all, I am a real person who is interested in having experiences beyond the realm of cyberspace. Meaning, I am here to meet other real people in the real world. LOL. Sure, I checked some boxes to indicate what I'm after, but they aren't my ruler... they're Passion.com's ruler. Get to know me. Let me get to know you. Let's be friends until we want to take it somewhere different.

Lastly. I'm single. I'm straight. I still have gay/lesbian/bi friends, and would be willing to make even more friends if you aren't bias against straight people. heheheheh. And just because I'm single, don't think that I want to jump into bed with you the first time we meet... don't get me wrong, it could happen if the situation's right (and it's what the both of us want), but that is not typical of me.

Hopefully, if you've read this, you now understand. Like you, I am a complex person with a multitude of facets to my personality. I'm interested in getting to know yours, if you are willing to get to know mine too.

Well, time to get back to writing stories!!

That's right, the Winter Olympics are almost upon us!!! Now, I'm not a big figure skating fan, but I am looking forward to the hockey matches (bigger ice, slightly different rules, and killer players on the same team). Maybe something unique will happen too, like the Jamacian Bobsled Team of Olympics past (I'm hoping for a ski jumper to represent Figi, hahahahah).

It's said over and over, but still bears repeating in this day-and-age of pressures. When we watch these athletes compete against one another in healthy sport, minus the bias of who is from where and what they believe in, simply as athletes, then we are watching the best of ourslves, a microcosm of how the world could be if we were to lay down our grievences and simply move forward.

Peace to all in the coming holidays, and maybe even a little extension of those attitudes of love & joy when the last couple of weeks in February rolls around.

Enough with the chase... I'm just focusing on the cut. LOL.

Now that I've been forced into vacation, I'm using my time to work on a new short story (maybe novella). Once finished, it's back to work for me!!!
